Regina King Beautiful Girl Magic and Fab Skin and Makeup at the 2016 Emmys

Regina King 2016 Emmys Winner

There was beautiful girl magic last night as actor and director, Regina King, won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role as Terri Lacroix in American Crime at the 68th annual Emmy Awards.  This was her second win for American Crime.

With natural and subtle makeup, her skin glow was in full effect.  Earlier this year, Regina shared that her secret to good skin care is getting facials.  She told Pret-a-Reporter that The Arcona Studio in Santa Monica is her go-to-place for getting award show ready.  In fact, she’s been a devotee to Arcona since 2004.  Their Red Carpet Radiance Facial helps to reduce imperfections, packing in hydration as well as lifting, tightening and firming the skin.  This signature facial consists of a customized fruit enzyme peel, a facial massage that incorporates manual lymphatic drainage, and masks that target specific areas on the face.  Next, an LED light treatment is used to improve skin tone and texture will reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Not only does Regina have a dedicated facial regimen, she exercises regularly and eats well, all important factors in healthy glowing skin.

In past interviews, she has discussed how her sister passed away from a heart attack.  Around that same time, Regina found out her blood pressure levels were elevated, so she began making necessary lifestyle changes.

“I have a dedicated workout schedule of two hours, 3-4 days a week, if I’m lucky. This consistency with good diet and exercise keeps my blood pressure from surging. Every morning I drink a cocktail of Açaí berry juice, CoQ10 (which improves cardiovascular health) and vitamin C,” Regina says.

And, Açaí is a powerful antioxidant that is wonderful for whole body health, especially for the skin!

She also discusses what she has eliminated from her diet.

“Pretty much the majority of dairy is out of my diet. For me, dairy was the biggest culprit,” says Regina in regards to reducing her cholesterol levels.  However, for many people, dairy is also a culprit when it comes to acne and hormonal issues that affect the skin.

Regina and her lifestyle choices are definite winners in the beauty department.
